    Dr. Tom Pausma was born and raised in Fond du Lac, WI before going to college at UW-Milwaukee. After graduating, Tom moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tom believes strongly in being a lifetime learner, his passion for dentistry has only intensified after schooling. Dr. Tom spends on average over 100 hours per year in continuing education courses. He has focused his post grad learning on placing and restoring dental implants and treating obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy. Like any true Wisconsinite, Tom knew he wanted to call Wisconsin home upon finishing Dental school. While living in Boston, Tom met his future wife, Gina, and after a few years of dating they moved to Madison in the summer of 2016. They immediately expanded their family with the addition of their beloved Bernie, a French Bulldog, who has become 608 Family Dental's mascot. Tom and Gina take advantage of the park system throughout Dane County and Wisconsin. Hiking, biking, and snowshoeing are among their favorite outdoor activities. Gina's Italian family has sparked a love for cooking, Tom has been drawn recently to smoking meats for hours and hours on his pellet grill. Tom and Gina were married in the Summer of 2019 when they eloped to the Faroe Islands, a remote island in the North Atlantic ocean. In January of 2022, the Pausmas welcomed a baby girl into the world. They look forward to the adventure that is parenthood. Dr. Tom earned his AGD Fellowship in 2023, a distinct honor in the Dental community, which demonstrates Dr. Tom's passion and dedication to his profession through his commitment to continuing education courses. Dr. Tom earned his Diplomate Status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine in 2022, signifying his experience and in-depth knowledge in providing oral appliance therapy for sleep-related breathing disorders.

This residency provided him with a diverse range of clinical experiences and a comprehensive understanding of various dental practices. Dr. Drake and his wife, Sarah share a deep love for travel. A notable adventure in their lives was a several-month backpacking journey through Southeast Asia, which enriched their perspectives and fueled their desire to explore even more of the world. Excited to call Dane County home again, they are eager to explore all of the wonderful parks, lakes, and restaurants Wisconsin has to offer. Dr. Drake brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to his work, ensuring that each patient receives personalized and high-quality care.
